Dr. Yasmeen Shereef is a radiologist with 29 years of experience and a special interest in women’s imaging and fetal medicine.
She completed her postgraduate training at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India, in 1994, followed by a fellowship in women’s imaging at Milton Keynes Hospital, UK. She spent the longest part of her career at Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah, a 360-bed government tertiary referral centre with undergraduate and postgraduate training, where she reported on a wide range of conditions, including emergency cases, while pursuing her FRCR with the Royal College in the UK. Working closely with the obstetrics and gynecology department, she gave final opinions on referrals from hospitals across the Northern Emirates, trained gynecologists and medical students in sonography, and mentored junior radiologists. She has also presented papers at local conferences.
In 2008, she helped set up a teleradiology platform and served as a panel radiologist. In 2011, she helped launch a multi-modality diagnostic centre in Dubai, and its branches in 2013. There she combined cross-sectional imaging (MRI and CT), abdominal and vascular ultrasound and women’s imaging with her role as Managing Partner and director, overseeing quality control to DHA, FANR and international standards.
At Metabolic, she reports on cross-sectional imaging and general ultrasound, with a focus on abdominal and women’s imaging.
