Dr. Faisal Albastaki is a UAE-trained and France-specialised Endocrinologist with a diverse clinical background spanning pediatrics, internal medicine, diabetes, and complex endocrine disorders.
He completed his medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, after which he returned to the UAE to train at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), Abu Dhabi, where he spent three years rotating through pediatrics and internal medicine. He then fulfilled his national service commitment from January 2018 to January 2019.
At the end of 2019, Dr. Albastaki moved to Montpellier, France, to pursue specialist training in endocrinology with Professor Eric Renard, a globally recognised leader in diabetes care and insulin pump therapy. He further broadened his expertise with a six-month fellowship at Hôpital de la Conception in Marseille under Professor CASTINETTI, known worldwide for her work in pituitary and adrenal diseases.
Dr. Albastaki earned his DES in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Nutrition (French Board) and completed an additional University Diploma in Diabetic Foot Care (DU Pied Diabétique) during his time in France. His clinical interests span diabetes technologies, pituitary and adrenal disorders, and complex metabolic disease.
Outside medicine, Dr. Albastaki has represented the UAE as part of the Davis Cup tennis team, reflecting his long-standing commitment to performance, discipline, and excellence both inside and outside the clinic.
